Go International

Since 2009, in the course of its internationalization campaign "go international", AUSTRIAN TRADE offers direct subsidies for all companies to stimulate education and training at Austrian branch offices abroad as well as the exchange of staff in training in Austria and abroad. Work experience placements at Austrian branch offices and of foreigners at companies in Austria are eligible to subsidies, too.

This internationalization campaign has now been extended. As in the previous year, up to 50% of total expenses are covered by co-financing of further education programs for Austrian branch offices and projects abroad. The maximum amount of subsidies is set at EUR 10,000 per Austrian company. Branch offices in Europe can invoice the maximum of EUR 800 per training participant. The Invoices must be issued by education and training institutes in Austria or abroad.

Attention should be paid to the fact that Austrian education know-how at events abroad or of trainers abroad respectively has to be provided by well-known education and training institutes like the WIFIs abroad.  

Only applications submitted in advance will be subsidized. The last month of subsidies is March 2013. Until 31.10.2011 applications for educational measures can be filed after the training has taken place, but they must have started on or after 1.4.2011. After 31.10.2011 applications have to be submitted in advance of the training start.
